"Josh's Top 10" For Colleges & Universities
Since the early 2000’s social media has changed the way we
communicate and interact in the world today. We now live in a society
where our every move is broadcast to millions of people through sites
like Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare and more with just the push of a
button. With students today sharing every waking moment with the
rest of the world, they are opening themselves and their friends to a
lot of trouble. It is important that as they begin taking the steps
towards the rest of their lives; one post, one picture could ruin their
chances at their future career.

“Josh’s Top 10” highlights then ten things a college student can do to
keep their social networking profiles as professional as possible.

 Thinking before you post: how your pictures and status updates can
affect you.
 Privacy: locking up you information to keep people out and yourself
safe.
 Bullying: it’s not just happening in the schoolyard.
 Pictures: what they are saying about you.
 Your Information: what happens to your posts and who’s watching

Josh Gunderson is a perfect addition to any college orientation or
programming lecture series. His unique brand of humor and energetic
stage presence will help guarantee “Josh’s Top 10” program will be
the best of the year and have students begging for him to come
back!

"For example, a twenty-five year old student was denied her
teaching degree from Millersville University in Pennsylvania for
"unprofessional" behavior. The behavior in question was a photo on
her MySpace site that showed her in a pirate costume at a
Halloween party, drinking something from a plastic cup, with a photo
caption reading 'Drunken Pirate."*
Audience reaction: "You were awesome! Thanks again for opening our eyes to these issues in a really
fun and interactive and innovative and creative way!"
